Case study
An email newsletter platform for personal brands and small business: a message editor, a subscriber base, analytics and delivery. Our own product, built end to end — from the signup form to billing.
The problem
Twitter shut down Revue, and TinyLetter was closing next. Newsletter authors were left between free services that vanish without warning and email-marketing platforms where the newsletter is just one feature next to funnels, tags and a CRM.
What was needed was a platform that does one thing and does all of it: write the letter, build the list, deliver. Simple on the outside — which means entirely on us on the inside: deliverability, unsubscribes, spam complaints, billing.
What we did
The whole product, not one layer of it.
Result
Operations
A million emails a month is not about volume but about sender reputation. Double opt-in, tracking unsubscribes and spam complaints, separate sender domains on the higher plans — these are all parts of one job: getting the letter into the inbox rather than the spam folder.
The infrastructure is managed by a separate layer in Python: the sending servers live their own life and do not depend on the application code.
