Who we are

We are Inga and Gennady Kovshenin,
a married couple who founded K2 Studio.

We built the studio around direct involvement. Key product and engineering decisions are made inside the team and stay with the people actually working on the project.

In more than 20 years of combined experience we have built a great many digital products for clients in the USA, Europe and the CIS. Some of our projects can be seen in the portfolio.

Gennady Kovshenin

Technical Lead

Responsible for the technical side of the product: architecture, development, data, integrations and infrastructure.

Sets the technical decisions and the approach to developing the product, ensuring its reliability, security and readiness to scale.

Inga Kovshenina

Product Lead

Responsible for the product side: business analysis, requirements, user scenarios, UI/UX design and project management.

Defines the product structure, the priorities and the scope of the first and subsequent versions, connecting user and business needs with how the product is built.

We get into the business problem, the goals, the users and the constraints.

We draw up the requirements and define the scope of the first version.

Design

We work through user scenarios, product structure, prototypes and interfaces.

Key decisions are agreed before development begins.

Architecture

We define the technical architecture, data structure, integrations and infrastructure.

We set up the environments and the deployment process.

Development

We develop the product in iterations and show the result regularly, and we also provide reports on the work done and the progress so far.

Launch

We run final testing, fix what we find and prepare the product for launch.

After acceptance we hand over the repository, the documentation and every credential you need.

Growth and support

After launch we can carry on working on the product.

We keep it running, ship updates, fix problems and develop its functionality.

Frequently asked questions

What does development cost and how long does it take?

Cost and timing depend on the scope of work and the complexity of the product. We study the problem first, define the scope and the first version, and then prepare an estimate.

Can you join a project that has already started?

Yes. We can join a project that already has designs and requirements, or begin by auditing the existing development.

Who owns the code?

Rights to the work are set out in the contract. The repository, documentation and required credentials are handed to the client in line with the project terms.

Do you sign NDAs?

Yes. If a project calls for confidentiality, we are ready to sign an NDA before work begins.
